The Suspects (income Killers)

The Suspects who are killing peoples' internet marketing earnings are as follows...

The Internet Pitch-people: These people mostly "pitch" products and say their product/information is best, better than anything out there, sometimes saying that their product/information is the only one that WORKS.

The Up-Sellers: These marketers never give the value over from their first claim and always suggest that "the next product" or "the next program/join" will contain the product/information or opportunity the prospect is looking for.

The Downline Sharks: These marketers don't really care about anything other than increasing their downlines. They build a few great sales/offer and entrance to program pages, then spam you or only link you to other programs so you can be in their downline. These people offer no training advice on how to promote, no other value for becoming a "joiner," and don't respond to email requests for help - if you're lucky enough even to find a working email contact address attached to any of their pages/offers.

The Scammers: People who outright create scams, visit and run pages, faulty products and info-product sellers, etc. People who spend $50 or less to get program pages up, run a money making program for a month or two, maybe a little longer - receive upgrade funds or sales money from their online pages... then dash away with your cash.

The GURUs: The Internet Marketing Gurus who say any of a number of things to get you to buy into their programs or purchase their info-products or any products they happen to be selling. These Gurus often say you can work your way up from nothing into steady earnings or even riches within a year but they use covert marketing techniques, including some of the methods above, and they have a LOT of money already, so they are able to engage in marketing methods that are more expensive and out of reach of the average person. They will coax until you also fork out money for their highest cost marketing measures even if you aren't even skilled enough to understand how to use these tools. They often also down-talk all other earning programs in favor of theirs. They will likely teach you only covert and high cost marketing techniques and will drop you from their programs if you miss a payment or argue with their methods. Their attitude is "It Takes Money To Make Money" but they mostly mean "It takes YOUR Money to make ME Money."

The Lame-Leaders: These are people using mostly up-seller culprit techniques from up-seller suspects and, sadly, people who do not understand what they are doing at all but are promoting pages, instructions of up-sellers because they are told to by inexperienced sponsors/team leaders. These are like the blind leading the blind and this group of people is probably the largest online who are flashing pages around everywhere.

The Sparklers: these are suspects who bombard their prospects with shiny and sparkly things - promises of riches for working at home in underwear, etc. These people are basically great with product PITCHES but aim straight at peoples' natural attraction for shiny objects/sparkly possibilities of overnight riches.

Yes, I think a number of these suspects have kidnapped my 10K Challenge sponsees... if anyone has witnessed an abduction, please contact me.

And Then There Were None...

For any acquainted with Agatha Christie literature, the title, "And Then There Were None" (1939) ranks as one of the most highly acclaimed of the Christie detective/mystery scenarios.

For those who have never read but still intend to enjoy the book or see the movie or a theatrical version of this story, I will try not to spoil the ending here...

Basically, ten people who have been complicit in the deaths of other people have escaped notice by law authorities. Somehow, they are all invited to a remote location - to be guests on an island retreat. Then they are picked off one by one until there are none... in the manners detailed in an old children's nursery rhyme called "Ten Little Indians."

Warning, Near Spoiler:

It is hard for the reader to figure out who picks the people off in the Christie literature...the ending to this book leaves the reader with many questions and unresolved issues. It's a damn fine murder mystery regardless of whether or not I have mentioned a near spoiler (I still haven't provided a name, character or situation - just a warning).

So what does this have to do with the theme of this blog and The 10K Challenge?

More than you might think!

The title, "And Then There Were None" happens to be how some of my days and weeks have turned out during my 10K Challenge. Some days and even for full weeks I have failed to get referrals.

And for those referrals who remain, some go inactive, stop responding to emails or prompts within the 10K Challenge which ask the participant to get in touch with their sponsor...

For many reasons, it is like some of my referrals are getting picked off and eliminated, as in the Christie story.

++++++++++++++++

Ten Little Marketers:

Ten Little Marketers Joined in my downline
One was overwhelmed and then there were nine

Nine Little Marketers this count is great
One got distracted, then there were eight

Eight Little Marketers dreaming of riches in Heaven
One failed to ask for help - then there were seven

Seven Little Marketers learning marketing tricks
One skipped some 10K Steps and then there were six

Six Little Marketers attempting to thrive
One joined other offers and then there were five

Five Little Marketers no longer wanting to be poor
One found some HYIPS and then there were four

Four Little Marketers rubbing hands in their glee
One realized work was involved, so then there were three

Three Little Marketers with hearts ever so true
Needed cash overnight, so then there were two

Two Little Marketers wanted to play in the sun
One went to the beach and so then there was one

One Little Marketer thought he was on a money run
One spammed his links around, then there were none

++++++++++++++++
Here, instead of murderous people, in online marketing circles we have "truth killers," who spread lies and pitches around - distracting people from legitimate earning programs.

Do Not Have To Like Everything

I have come across things I do not like about the 10K Challenge. Minor things... details that I cringe over a little bit...

However

I follow instructions to the best of my ability and things work out okay.

One of the things I don't like is the "Self-Help/Motivational Program" in the downline builder. I don't have to upgrade in it - I have choices... this is what I DO LIKE about the 10K Challenge (having choices).

Not liking the one program (actually there are a couple I don't like too much) does NOT prevent me from following instructions, utilizing everything else about the program. I wont name the program here because not liking it is just opinion and is a preference based choice. I know I see other 10K Members promoting it, so I'm probably in the minority here.

Not liking one program that has an OPTIONAL tag on it is of very little consequence to me and since the program is optional - I just stick with necessary activities and all the other programs.

  • I still get mailings and advertising out
  • I am admin of a Text Ad Exchange via what I have learned in the 10K Challenge
  • I have over a 20 Referrals now (no, most aren't active but some are)
  • I have been paid two months in a row from 10K Challenge related activity
  • I am learning more, every day, on how to increase response to the ads I place
  • I have basic task time down to a half hour for mailing out over 100, 000 ads
  • On bad days when I have little time for being online I still mail to 100, 000
  • On good days, I spend about 90 min sending out from 100,000-750,000 ads!

If I do not participate and upgrade in one program involved in the 10K downline builder - again, an OPTIONAL program - the world is not going to come to an end and I am not affecting my sponsor or referrals in any big way by not participating.

What is really important here is that I double check on what the purpose of the programs are in the downline builder and MAKE SURE I am participating in all of the ones I am supposed to which affect my sponsor and referrals.

One little dislike, one little annoying program and my lack of participation in it does not have to bring down negative consequences for me or change greatly the effect of utilizing the 10K Challenge program. Frankly, I haven't participated in another big downline program that STILL WORKS when I skip an optional program.

What is your least favorite 10K Challenge program (hey - we dont all have to LOVE everything, do we)?

The 10K Challenge Might Look Like Some Other Programs

Trust me...

It's NOT!

The differences lie in the details.

At face value, yeah - the 10K Challenge site is a massive downline builder site. Many of us who haven't succeeded with online money making programs have seen a number of downline builder sites. Maybe we've even joined a few, quite a few - or a lot of them.

I'm still a member in a couple of what are said by the program owners to be "simple money making downline builder sites" that the average person is supposed to be able to succeed with. When I compare these NOW - with the 10K Challenge site... what I notice is a whole bunch of details missing from the previous programs I signed up with. Really important little details (like how to build credits fast for free safelist account mailings!).

As already mentioned in a previous post - I have had some failures with the 10K Challenge program. Fortunately and FINALLY - these mistakes have been little ones that I have been able to learn from. Mostly, with things broken down into steps, I find I do okay.

In corresponding with a couple of referrals, I heard complaints that the program is too complicated. I asked them to backtrack and slow down (like I had to), only do what can be done in 35 minutes then take a break... Also, because the member dashboard area looks a little like other download builder sites, there is a tendency to SKIP STEPS AND INSTRUCTIONS... THIS IS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I MADE in the beginning - and then I was failing to move forward, felt overwhelmed and like I shouldn't be in the program.

(current referrals who are no longer keeping in contact with me are likely at this stage of frustration right now - if they don't follow advice, I know they will quit the program altogether - but I have no worries about this - not their time to move forward - I will keep moving ahead and work with referrals who DO WANT TO correspond with me, follow instructions, and move forward).

I had to learn to get out of that "AUTOMATIC MODE" where I just start doing what I THINK I should be doing...instead of checking the step by step instructions, videos, learning materials.

This is what I do: I do more than 35 minutes per day (I have advanced on to become a site admin now, so I'm doing more than 35 minutes of added site management tasks now) but I don't do too much in any long stretch of time or else I start making mistakes, veering away from the instructions in the program. It's ever so easy to get distracted online. Perhaps I am most thankful for the tips in the first 3 levels of the program... about staying focused, working very hard for about a half hour to get absolutely necessary tasks completed - before the possibility arises that I will get distracted and off course...

I supposed I'm just rambling now but I am just amazed at how this 10K site can appear quite plainly like other sites I haven't been able to succeed and earn with. Amazed with the small details that make things different than other money maker downline builder sites - by leaps and bounds.

And with that... I'm off to go mess around in my Text Ad Exchange admin panel! (never thought I would actually manage one of these sites!).
