And Then There Were None...

For any acquainted with Agatha Christie literature, the title, "And Then There Were None" (1939) ranks as one of the most highly acclaimed of the Christie detective/mystery scenarios.

For those who have never read but still intend to enjoy the book or see the movie or a theatrical version of this story, I will try not to spoil the ending here...

Basically, ten people who have been complicit in the deaths of other people have escaped notice by law authorities. Somehow, they are all invited to a remote location - to be guests on an island retreat. Then they are picked off one by one until there are none... in the manners detailed in an old children's nursery rhyme called "Ten Little Indians."

Warning, Near Spoiler:

It is hard for the reader to figure out who picks the people off in the Christie literature...the ending to this book leaves the reader with many questions and unresolved issues. It's a damn fine murder mystery regardless of whether or not I have mentioned a near spoiler (I still haven't provided a name, character or situation - just a warning).

So what does this have to do with the theme of this blog and The 10K Challenge?

More than you might think!

The title, "And Then There Were None" happens to be how some of my days and weeks have turned out during my 10K Challenge. Some days and even for full weeks I have failed to get referrals.

And for those referrals who remain, some go inactive, stop responding to emails or prompts within the 10K Challenge which ask the participant to get in touch with their sponsor...

For many reasons, it is like some of my referrals are getting picked off and eliminated, as in the Christie story.

++++++++++++++++

Ten Little Marketers:

Ten Little Marketers Joined in my downline
One was overwhelmed and then there were nine

Nine Little Marketers this count is great
One got distracted, then there were eight

Eight Little Marketers dreaming of riches in Heaven
One failed to ask for help - then there were seven

Seven Little Marketers learning marketing tricks
One skipped some 10K Steps and then there were six

Six Little Marketers attempting to thrive
One joined other offers and then there were five

Five Little Marketers no longer wanting to be poor
One found some HYIPS and then there were four

Four Little Marketers rubbing hands in their glee
One realized work was involved, so then there were three

Three Little Marketers with hearts ever so true
Needed cash overnight, so then there were two

Two Little Marketers wanted to play in the sun
One went to the beach and so then there was one

One Little Marketer thought he was on a money run
One spammed his links around, then there were none

++++++++++++++++
Here, instead of murderous people, in online marketing circles we have "truth killers," who spread lies and pitches around - distracting people from legitimate earning programs.

Next post: The Suspects...
